This August, one of New Brunswick’s best-loved local foods takes centre stage on menus across the province for one week.

Wild Blueberry FlavourFest returns August 23 to 30, with more than 200 participating locations serving limited-time dishes, desserts, drinks and other creations inspired by New Brunswick wild blueberries.

The province-wide festival invites people to discover what local kitchens can do with this versatile ingredient and rewards them for joining in. Visitors can explore participating locations and plan their stops at wildblueberryflavourfest.ca.

“FlavourFest gives people a chance to experience wild blueberries in new and unexpected ways,” said Don Arseneault, Executive Director of Bleuets NB Blueberries. “With more than 200 locations participating, there is something to discover in communities across New Brunswick.”

For a second year, Dairy Farmers of New Brunswick returns as a supporting partner, with select locations serving #BerriesAndDairy creations that pair New Brunswick wild blueberries with quality Canadian dairy.

“Wild blueberries are part of who we are in New Brunswick,” said Arseneault. “FlavourFest celebrates the growers behind them, the creativity of participating locations and the many ways people can enjoy this local favourite.”

Festival-goers can once again enter the Wild Blueberry FlavourFest contest for a chance to win one of 10 custom Flavour Boxes. Valued at $200 each, the popular prize boxes are filled with locally made wild blueberry and dairy products.
