Wild Blueberry Flavour Fest 2025 has come to a close after a week full of flavour. From August 18 to 25, more than 200 restaurants, cafés, bakeries, coffee shops, and B&Bs across New Brunswick featured dishes that put wild blueberries at the centre of the menu.
Flavour Fest is a yearly celebration of New Brunswick’s wild blueberries and a tribute to the farmers, chefs, and communities who bring them to life. Grown on more than 175 local farms, wild blueberries are packed with nutrients, rich in flavour, and recognized as one of Canada’s most celebrated superfoods.
This year also marked a new collaboration with the Dairy Farmers of New Brunswick, inspiring chefs to create dishes that paired two Canadian icons: New Brunswick wild blueberries and Canadian dairy. From desserts to berry- and dairy-based beverages, the partnership brought even more variety to Flavour Fest menus.
During Flavour Fest, our Wild Blueberry Ambassador, Olivia, travelled across the province, visiting spots like McGuire Chocolate Company, Tony’s Bistro, Palette Urban Rooftop Bar, and more. She shared snapshots of the dishes on the NB Wild Blueberry social channels, giving followers an insider’s look at the unique ways restaurants celebrated wild blueberries this year.
The blueberry spotlight carried through to the end of the month. On Thursday, August 28, Chef Chris Kuhn from the Palate in Fredericton joined the CML Kitchen (Watch) on CTV Morning Live Atlantic to share a recipe celebrating Wild Blueberry Month.
While the festival has wrapped up for 2025, you can keep enjoying wild blueberries in your own kitchen, at farm stands, and at local markets. As the season comes to an end, be sure to mark your calendar for August 2026, Wild Blueberry Month will be back, full of flavour and new creations to discover.
